My quick tip for early prevention of fine lines and wrinkles is to sleep on your back. This is the best way to avoid creases in the skin and fine lines while you sleep.
Hopefully everyone is getting the recommended eight hours of sleep at night that rejuvenates us and keeps us healthy. Eight hours of sleep on your side or stomach usually means your face is pressed against the pillow for a long time, creating fine lines and creases (the unpleasant pillow face in the morning).
If early prevention of fine lines and wrinkles is on your mind, this is just something to be aware of. It isn't easy to remind your self to roll on your back when you are sleepy or very cozy in a certain spot, but reminding your self to do it will help you to do it more and more.
I still have difficulty doing this, I like to sleep on my right side and I've noticed I have a few, very fine lines on the right side of my face that I don't have on my left side. This is no bueno, so I need to remind myself as well!!
Dang it.. I sleep in my right side too! Cannot sleep on my back at all :-/

So if I sleep on my back, I will prevent further wrinkles and fine lines? Wow, that's fantastic, Adriana! Thanks for this sharing! Two months ago, I got rid of my wrinkles on the forehead with a botox London treatment and I regained my beautiful look and self confidence. I will surely follow your quick tip because I don't want to have other issues with wrinkles too soon! Have a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading my blog!! Yes it will really help prevent lines, it's just hard to actually do it...lol. Botox is great, the way you can actually see the results on someone who has done it and you have a trusted Doctor injecting you. The only problem is it's expensive and only lasts about 3 months.
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI am so much worried about fine lines. I have tried many home treatments to prevent wrinkles. I will also follow your tip. Thanks for sharing. It will really helpful for me.
Thank you for reading my blog, and I am happy you found this useful!
DeleteI’ve read about this as well and consulted my plastic surgeon. He said that this is true. But if the wrinkles and the fine lines already exist and you want to get rid of them – just like I do – Botox would be a good solution. But, of course, it should be done by a professional surgeon, and you must have a proper consultation before proceeding with this treatment.

Thanks for the tips, Adriana. I must agree that lying on your back is one of the best ways to prevent the formation of wrinkles. I will also suggest that it would be better if your pillowcases are made of silk. It can keep you from getting pillow marks on your face.

Thanks for commenting on my blog! Yes, I agree with you. I love silk pillow cases, I'm in need of more. I wrote a post on silk pillow cases as well.
DeleteThanks for sharing this, Adriana! Fine lines and wrinkle formation can be really frustrating, especially when you get them at the very young age. Aside from that tip and sleeping with silk pillows, it also helps if you apply some moisturizer before you go to sleep. That way, your facial skin will be conditioned and flexible enough to prevent some creases that you might get when you move about in your sleep.
